Currently, MCH operates two primary programs: CLAIM, Missouri’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program and Insurance Counseling Services (ICS). MCH also operates a helpline that provides Coordinated Entry assessments on behalf of other direct housing service provider agencies. Click the buttons below for more information on each program.
CLAIM is the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) in Missouri. CLAIM provides assistance with Medicare enrollment, resolving billing issues, assistance with selecting prescription drug plans, and Advantage plans including Medigap and Supplemental plans.
MCH partnered with the Missouri Foundation for Health and a national network of organizations to help provide education about insurance options offered through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Mid-Mo ICS also provides assistance with other insurance-related issues such as plan comparison, insurance appeals, and general health literacy.
Rural Unhoused Helpline
In May 2021, Missouri Connections for Health (MCH) began a 24-month pilot program. Under this program, MCH operates a helpline that provides Coordinated Entry assessments on behalf of other direct housing service provider agencies. These agencies are provided a toll-free helpline number that they share with clients who are potentially eligible for housing assistance.
